Fallen Danbury Cop to be Honored in Washington
The officer's name will be added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial.

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury law enforcement officer who died on duty will have his name added to the the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Danbury Constable Frederick P. Ellis suffered a fatal heart attack while conducting traffic control at the scene of a major structure fire at the intersection of Pahquioque Avenue and East Liberty Street on May 2, 1964 . In recognition of his sacrifice to the City of Danbury, Ellis' name will be added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C. on May 13, 2019.
"The Danbury Police Department is honored to know his name will be forever memorialized along side the 20,267 Police Officers who have given their lives in service to their communities across the United States," Danbury police posted on social media.
