Firefighters Battle Morning Residential Fire in Danbury

DANBURY, CT - A fire broke out in a Danbury home on Thursday morning, prompting firefighter response, the Danbury News Times reported.

Emergency crews responded to Cook Street, a small residential neighborhood near Triangle Street, around 10 a.m., according to the Danbury News Times. Fire department officials said they had received reports of smoke coming from the second story window.

Flames had been shooting out of the window when firefighters arrived, however they were ultimately able to save the structure, the Danbury News Times reported. The fire is still under investigation.
