Firefighters Entertain Pooch While Her Trucker Dad Mends

DANBURY, CT — It didn't take long for Camilla to melt the hearts of some of the toughest guys in Danbury.

While assisting emergency medical technicians prep an injured truck driver for transport to the hospital, the crew of Danbury Engine Company 24 discovered the trucker wasn't traveling alone. Camilla, a chihuahua, had been the trucker's co-pilot.

The firefighters offered to take the pooch back to the station and look after her while her dad was cared for at the hospital.

The lady enjoyed her ride in the firetruck, the firefighters posted on social media, as well as some cold water and a snack back at the station in Commerce Park.
