Firefighters Free Woman from Jewelry

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters removed a ring from the finger of a woman when the jewelry had gotten too tight to remove herself.

On Tuesday, Firefighter Tommy Chirico used what the FD described on their Facebook page as a simple ring cutter to remove the bauble from the hand of an unidentified woman visiting Danbury from Colombia.

"We are equipped with all sorts of tools to assist people in difficult predicaments," the post read. The ring cutter is part of Rescue One's "man in the machine" kit.

" Our visitor was very pleased with our service and went about her night, wearing one less ring!" the fire department spokesperson wrote.
