BROOKFIELD, CT — Firefighters from Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and Danbury Fire Department tackled a large scale condominium fire early Thursday morning.

The CT Post is reporting that one civilian and one police officer were hospitalized, but no firefighters were hurt.

The 3-alarm fire raged through multiple living units in the Ledgewood complex on Boxwood Drive, DFD officials reported on Facebook.

Twelve families were displaced when their living units were damaged. The Red Cross is aiding them at a senior shelter.

The fire is under investigation, officials said.
