Five People Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Five people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash early Thursday morning, the Fire Department is reporting.

At approximately 12:20, Emergency Services were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident near the Duchess Restaurant on Mill Plain Road. The Danbury police officers first on the scene notified dispatch that there was a two vehicle accident with one victim trapped in a vehicle. Danbury Fire and EMS units arrived and found three injured persons, one requiring extraction from a vehicle. That victim was turned over to the care of Danbury Hospital EMS crews. Two additional victims were transported by ambulance to the hospital, with the assistance of Ridgefield Fire Department ambulance crews.

Fire fire units remained on the scene assisting the police department until approximately 2 a.m.
