Fowl Play: Danbury Firefighters Save 13 Ducks Trapped In Storm Drain

Cat up a tree? Passé. These members of Danbury's Bravest got down and dirty to rescue a brood of ducklings on an underground adventure.

DANBURY, CT — It beats crashing through walls into burning rooms, but maybe not by much.

On Monday, Danbury Fire Department members Lt. Stilson, Firefighter Browning, and Firefighter Bragason were called to Hospital Avenue where a brood of billed adventurers had taken the low road down a storm drain, and became trapped.

"We're happy to report all 13 ducklings were safely removed and reunited with their mother," fire officials reported on social media.
