Free Health Screening Saturday

The Danbury Community Health Center at 8 Delay St., is offering people a free health screening Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The screening will cover immunization screening, blood pressure screening, dental screening, information about Medicaid programs, early detection screenings, housing and health department information, WIC program information, diabetes education, nutrition counseling and fun for children, including face painting, raffle prizes and music.

"Every day in our primary care centers, I witness the value of having a health care home," said Mark Masselli, president and CEO of CHC., Inc. "When people have a place to go for regular care, they use it and stay healthier."

This free screening is being offered as part of National Health Center Week. CHC, which has a headquarters in Middletown, will be offering similar programs in New London, Norwalk, New Britain, Middletown and Stamford.
