Free Leaf Pickup Returns In Danbury — Here’s When To Put Bags Out

The city will offer six weeks of curbside collection this spring, with pickup schedules based on zip code.

DANBURY, CT — Free curbside leaf collection is returning to Danbury this spring, with pickups scheduled over six weeks starting April 13.

Mayor Roberto Alves announced the program will run through May 22, with collection dates based on zip code.

Residents in zip code 06810 will have pickup during the following weeks:

  • April 13–17
  • April 27–May 1
  • May 11–15

Residents in zip code 06811 are scheduled for:

  • April 20–24
  • May 4–8
  • May 18–22

The city is asking residents to place leaf bags at the curb on Sunday evenings ahead of their scheduled collection week.

Officials said only paper leaf bags without tape will be accepted. Plastic bags, trash and other debris will not be collected. Branches will be picked up separately.
