Free Learn-To-Fish Event Planned In Danbury This Week
The event at Rogers Park Pond will include equipment and instruction for beginners, officials said.
DANBURY, CT — A free learn-to-fish event is planned this week in Danbury, offering instruction and equipment for beginners.
The “Fish with CARE” event will take place April 30 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Rogers Park Pond, according to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The program is open to adults and families with children ages 6 and up, and all equipment and instruction will be provided.

Participants ages 16 and older are required to have a valid Connecticut fishing license. Registration is required.
The event is part of the state’s CARE (Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education) program.
