Good Samaritan Intervenes In Danbury Porch Fire

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Fire Department answered a call about a porch fire on Wednesday.

When crews first responded to the location near Wildman and Austin Streets around 1 p.m., they found a good Samaritan on the steps of the porch extinguishing the blaze.

The damage was minimal, officials reported on the company's Facebook page. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The incident is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
