Connecticut with a population of almost 3.5 million, has tested nearly 2 million residents to date with 61,697 testing positive for COVID-19. The City of Danbury has conducted 54,714 COVID-19 tests to date with 3,240 testing positive. Currently, there are no FDA approved vaccines to prevent coronavirus disease as the virus is spread through respiratory droplets from an infected person. As asymptomatic individuals can still spread the disease, widespread testing, social distancing and the use of masks during interactions have helped to combat further spread of the coronavirus.
