Hit & Run Driver Found Hiding in Closet After Crash: Report
A driver hid from police after rearending a car on Main Street in Danbury.
DANBURY — A driver crashed into the back of another vehicle and fled the scene on Sunday night, he was caught in his bedroom closet, according to The News Times.
Police said Lauro Chimbo, 39, drove away after the crash but the other driver got his license plate number leading them to his home, the report said.
Chimbo was charged with evading responsibility, driving with a suspended license and following too closely, the paper reported.
