Housatonic Habitat to participate in Fairfield County Giving Day
24-Hour Online Fundraising Event on February 27

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity will participate in Fairfield County’s Giving Day, a 24-hour online fundraising event on February 27 organized by Fairfield County Community Foundation to aid local causes.
Housatonic Habitat was among hundreds of non-profits benefitting from last year’s drive. “Our goal is to raise $5,000 to raise the roof on our current building program,” said Executive Director Fran Normann. The affordable housing advocate is currently building its first of eight homes in New Preston, CT. The local affiliate is also extending its “Brush With Kindness” program to provide needed home repairs for those aging in place.
“By providing decent, affordable, safe housing to qualified regional families, Housatonic Habitat contributes to community revitalization in the greater Danbury region by creating homes that can transform a street and neighborhood and add value to the community,” she said.
