Housatonic Habitat Receives Recognition from American Red Cross

The CT Chapter of the American Red Cross recently recognized its partnership with Housatonic Habitat for Humanity with a citizenship plaque. For more than a year, the American Red Cross and Housatonic Habitat have been collaborating to put smoke detectors into the home of those area residents who are aging in place. The program, “A Brush with Kindness” has helped more than 20 area homeowners who receive free smoke detectors provided by the Red Cross during home repairs provided by Housatonic Habitat volunteers.
