Housatonic Habitat 's ReStore celebrates National Thrift Shop Day

Friday, August 17

The Housatonic Habitat ReStore will celebrate National Thrift Shop day on Friday, August 17th. Those who donate new or gently used household goods to the ReStore on Friday and Saturday will receive a 20% off coupon for future purchases. The ReStore is Housatonic Habitat’s 10,000 sq. ft. thrift warehouse located at 51 Austin St. in Danbury, CT. In addition, Housatonic Habitat for Humanity leads a partnership with other local thrifts and offers a “Guide to Local Thrift Shops” on its website and in the store. Residents are urged to support their local thrifts in celebration of National Thrift Shop Day.

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of qualified working families by promoting financial stability and self-sufficiency through ownership of affordable homes. Households often consist of those who have limited assets and who have jobs that also have income caps.
