How Many Danbury Residents Received Coronavirus Vaccine So Far?

State health officials released data for the first time which shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.

DANBURY, CT —According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 4,861 Danbury residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

There are 84,694 Danbury residents and 5.74 percent of them have received their first dose. Danbury has 4,384 residents over the age of 75 and 1,727 of them have received their first dose or 39.39 percent, according to state health officials.

Since the pandemic began in March, Danbury has reported 10,394 cases of COVID-19 and 177 deaths associated with the virus.
