Indian Festival Coming To Danbury
Downtown Danbury will play host to an Indian Festival on August 13.
Prepare to be dazzled by the richness of Indian Culture! Enjoy a range of mouth-watering Indian foods, including chaat, biryani and curries. Feel the beat of beautifully choreographed Indian dances. Soak in the culture of India with exhibitions and concerts. Dance on the street to pulsating music from the live orchestra. Get to know our local vibrant artists.
The public is invited to the 2nd annual Jai Ho India Cultural Festival, to
be held from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. August 13, on the CityCenter green, 2 Ives St. Admission is free and the festival is open to the public.
This year, Jai Ho India is very excited to present a one-of-a-kind Bollywood concert showcasing the talents of India's heartthrob Rex D'Souza, a renowned singer and personality. Jai Ho India is hosted by the Indian Association of Western Connecticut, Inc. (IAWCT), in affiliation with City Center Danbury. IAWCT is thrilled at the prospect of engaging the community in the rich heritage of Vedic culture. The Festival will highlight children's activities, folk dances, musical performances, drama, delicious Indian food, and other activities designed for all age groups. Through the various artistic and captivating presentations, this festival will promote necessary Indian-inspired values that can bind a family and a community at large.
