Jazz Group To Play at Wine Class Benefit for Housatonic Habitat

SJK Jazz, a local trio, will perform at the Wine Class fundraiser for Housatonic Habitat for Humanity on June 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Max Wines & Liquors, 40A Mill Plain Road in Danbury. SJK Jazz will play tunes from The Great American Songbook, as well as 20th Century jazz favorites while wine enthusiasts learn how to order wine like an expert, and to pair their choice with just the right hors d’oeuvres.

SJK Jazz features Noel MacCarry on saxophone, Stan Kishner on keyboard and John Krieger on guitar. They will be joined for the Wine Class by vocalist Wendy Matthews. Tickets are $35 at the door; all proceeds benefit Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, the local charity which builds work-force housing for first-time home buyers in greater Danbury.
