Labor Department's March 6 Career Fair In Danbury Launches Spring Series

The Connecticut Department of Labor’s Career Fair series kicks off its spring 2015 schedule with a March 6 event taking place at Danbury’s Ethan Allen Hotel, located at 21

Lake Avenue Extension.

The job fair, the first of five events in the spring series, will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is co- sponsored by Town Square Media, the City of Danbury and the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce.

“Our Danbury Career Fair has become a tradition in western Connecticut, bringing together area employers and jobseekers in one convenient location to explore career opportunities,” said State Labor Commissioner Sharon M. Palmer. “This is a great recruitment opportunity for employers while jobseekers can learn more about the wide range of related services offered by the Labor Department, such as career counseling, employment workshops and veterans’ benefits.”

The Danbury Career Fair will also feature Certified Professional Résumé Writers from the Connecticut Department of Labor who will review and critique attendee’s résumés to help ensure that they effectively showcase skills and accomplishments.
