Likely Gubernatorial Candidate Mark Boughton Releases Video Touting Danbury Accomplishments
Boughton has established an exploratory committee to run for state office, with hopes to bring Hat City success to Hartford.
DANBURY, CT — Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton released a video in an effort to boost his bid for state Thursday, with the hopes of bringing Danbury's success to Hartford.
In the 90-second video, Boughton discussed that he has formed an exploratory committee for state office. According to multiple reports including the Hartford Courant, it is believed that Boughton will make his third run at the Gubernatorial seat in three elections.
Hoping to lead "The Connecticut Comeback," Boughton stated that the Hat City could become a model for Hartford.

"I want Danbury's successes to be the model for the Connecticut comeback," Boughton said in the video.
Boughton's exploratory committee allows him to begin fundraising immediately. His 2014 bid ended after he could not secure enough funding to qualify for a state election grant, reports the Courant.
