Macy*s at Danbury Fair Mall will be partnering with its shoppers to raise funds for Housatonic Habitat for Humanity during its upcoming Round-Up fundraising campaign. Macy*s customers at the Danbury Fair Mall can round up their purchases to the next dollar amount from February 1 through February 15, and donate the change to Housatonic Habitat for Humanity.
In 2019, more than 6,000 Macy*s customers donated nickels, dimes, and quarters to this event which supports work-force housing in greater Danbury. Macy*s partnership with Housatonic Habitat spans almost a decade. Each December, volunteers from the community participate in “Wrapping for Habitat”, a gift-wrapping fundraiser held at Macy*s. Volunteers will also be at Macy*s on Thursday, February 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, February 14 from 3 to 6 p.m. to wrap Valentine’s Day gifts for shoppers.
Housatonic Habitat for Humanity focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of qualified working families by promoting financial stability and self-sufficiency through ownership of affordable homes. Households often consist of those who have limited assets and who have jobs that also have income caps.
