Danbury Man Partially Ejected From Car After Hitting Tree: UPDATE

Firefighters had to extricate the man from his vehicle.

DANBURY, CT - An early morning crash on Division Street resulted in one man being taken to the hospital, police said.

The man's vehicle hit a tree and landed on its side, the report states, and fire crews has to remove him from the vehicle. The accident occurred at 1:09 a.m. Friday in the area of Division and George streets.

Edwin Cabrera-Prieto of Danbury was operating a 2002 Mercedes Benz ML320 northbound on Division Street, police said.

Edwin Cabrera-Prieto lost control of the vehicle veering off the road and striking a tree, police said. The impact of the collision caused significant front end damage to the vehicle and Edwin Cabrera-Prieto to be partially ejected from the vehicle, police said.

Edwin Cabrera-Prieto was transported by ambulance to Danbury Hospital for injuries sustained in the collision, police said.
