Mayor Boughton Awards Citation to Danbury Civil Air Patrol

399th Composite Squadron cited by Danbury, Connecticut Mayor Mark D. Boughton for Outstanding Volunteerism

City of Danbury Mayor Mark D. Boughton cited Civil Air Patrol's 399th Composite Squadron for "outstanding volunteerism and service to our community" during the City Council Meeting held at City Hall on May 1, 2018.

The squadron, commanded by Captain Jeff Jenkins, assisted Danbury Fire Department with water distribution to residents after a severe water main break occurred on April 23, leaving a third of the City without water.

Colonel James Ridley, Connecticut Wing Commander, was extremely pleased with the unit's alertness. "I am very proud of the cadets and seniors of the 399th" Ridley said, adding "The Mayor of Danbury, the fire chief and other prominent local figures have expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the unit's efforts and I am very pleased with the turnout and professionalism they and other units within the Connecticut Wing constantly display in times like these."
