Musicals at Richter's Fairy Tale Theater Offers Saturday AM Shows July 16 and 23
Treat your kids to the joy of interactive theater by and for children - complete with a visit from Mother Goose!
Musicals at Richter (MAR) continues its 18th season of Fairy Tale Theater, a captivating play series by and for young people, performed rain or shine Saturday mornings on the grounds of Wooster School in Danbury. Remaining performances include “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Stone Soup” (July 16) and “Peter Pan” (July 23).
Performed by an ensemble of young area actors under the direction of veteran educator and performer Elyse Jasensky of Danbury, these hour-long, interactive adaptations of classic tales include plenty of audience participation, a show-related craft activity, birthday recognitions and a visit with Mother Goose (played by Jasensky). In the case of inclement weather, the performance will be held inside the school.
This year’s Fairy Tale Theater company includes Jacqelynne and Rachelle Matchen (Bethel); Olivia Cotter, Nicole DeMotte, Chloe Djilani, Amaris Guerra, Tia Mahon and Curtis Rodriguez (Danbury); Maggie Moriarty (New Fairfield); Michael Elston (Newtown); Taylor Hunt and Evan Smolin (Ridgefield); Madeline Galgano (North Salem, NY); and Elias Osborn (Sherman).
