New Hotel May Move Into Paul Mitchell School Building in Danbury

Plans call for a 40-room hotel at 2 National Place.

DANBURY, CT — The Planning and Zoning Department has approved plans to convert the Paul Mitchell School at 2 National Place into a 40-room hotel, the News Times is reporting. The project may now move into the permitting stage.

Notably absent from the renovation of the three-story building is plans for a bar or restaurant. The project does include a 1,495-square-foot addition to the first floor and a new patio area.

Mayor Mark Boughton told the News Times that Paul Mitchell School, a cosmetology education franchise, would relocate elsewhere in Danbury.
