The statue was taken to Robin's Graphics in Harwinton in February for a makeover after being stored in a hanger at the Danbury Airport following its return from the Magic Forest Amusement Park in Lake George, NY, last year.
The world's largest statue of Uncle Sam presided over the Danbury Fair from 1971 to 1981.

It's official. The world's largest Uncle Sam Statute will be located at the Danbury Railway Museum (right on Patriot, next to Leahy's - longtime operators of the Fair). Work starts tomorrow! Donations were huge. Thank you, this will be fire.. https://t.co/BS279HHVnx pic.twitter.com/2BK1xk9yah
