New Principal Named To Reach/Endeavor School In Danbury

Rodney Powell​ has been appointed to replace longtime Reach/ Endeavor School principal, Jackie DiNardo, following her retirement.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury Public Schools has named a new principal for Reach/ Endeavor School.

Rodney Powell has been appointed to replace longtime principal, Jackie DiNardo, following her retirement.

Powell comes to DPS with over 19 years of experience. In his most recent role, Powell served as Principal of Opportunity High School, a partnership school between Hartford Public Schools and Our Piece of the Pie.

"We are excited to welcome Rodney Powell to Danbury Schools," Superintendent Kevin Walston said in a news release. "We are confident that Mr. Powell will be a great addition to our team. His time working at Opportunity High School, working with youth ages 14 to 24 further supported his candidacy for this position."

Powell will start his new position on Aug. 22.
