NY Pet Store with Danbury Connection Closes

A pet shop with a Danbury location has closed its Hudson Valley store.

According to an article in the Connecticut Post, American Breeders: Puppies & Kittens in the New York village of Wappingers Falls closed Sept. 30.

The Post said that information came from the store’s landlord, Frank Buyakowski.

American Breeders: Puppies & Kittens’ owner is Richard Doyle, 55. He was charged in July with three misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty after an investigation by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture.

The store has other locations in Danbury and Mohegan Lake, NY.
