Obituary: Addie Pearl (Little) Daniels, 85, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Addie Pearl (Little) Daniels, 85, of Danbury, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023.

She was the wife of the late Curtis Daniels Sr., who loved her dearly.

Mrs. Daniels was born in Pitt County, North Carolina on June 19, 1938, a daughter of the late Roy and Pauline (Shepard) Little. She attended Pitt County Schools and graduated from Bethel Union High School in Bethel, North Carolina. She has been a resident of Danbury for the past 65 years.
A retired employee of the former Risdon Corporation, Mrs. Daniels was a faithful member of the Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church, where she served as a missionary, deaconess, and a member of the Hospitality Committee.

To know Addie was to love her. Affectionately known by loved ones as Martha, she will be best remembered for her culinary skills and is regarded as a gifted cook. She will be sorely missed.
She leaves to mourn her passing four daughters, Sandra Daniels, Angela Daniels, Cynthia (Daniels) Carvalho, and Travelyn (Daniels) Stallings; three sons, Jeffrey Daniels, Craig Daniels, and Eric Daniels; three sisters, Helen (Little) Harrison, Carolyn (Little) Glast, and Vivian (Little) Murphy; two brothers, Willie Little, and Ronnie Little; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Daniels was predeceased by her eldest son Curtis Carnell Daniels Jr.; seven sisters, Hilda (Little) Davis, Mary (Little) Clemons, Laura Little, Marie Little, Doris (Little) Rodgers, Linda Little, and Travelyn Little; and by four brothers, Roy Little Jr., Abron Little, Odell Little, and Walter Little.

The Daniels Family would like to thank extended family and friends for your prayers and heartfelt condolences.

Homegoing Services are being held at the Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church, 69 Rowan St., Danbury.

Friends are welcome on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The homegoing will then begin at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery, 20 Ellsworth Avenue, Danbury.
