Obituary: Brian Battles, 49, of Danbury

DANBURY, CT -- Brian David Battles, 49, of Atlanta, GA passed away on July 6, 2018 after a long illness. He was the son of Lorraine Louis Battles, formerly of Danbury, CT.

Brian was born in Huntsville, Alabama on February 28, 1969. At age 4, he was diagnosed with leukemia and was treated at St. Jude Children's Hospital. Due to side effects, he developed brain damage and a disorder that caused seizures.Brian moved with his family to a warm and loving neighborhood in Atlanta.

Brian spent most of his summer vacations in Danbury. He loved visiting his grandparents, Abraham and Amelia Louis, his aunt and uncle, Henry and Ceil Louis, his cousins and many friends. He loved fishing and boating at Lake Kenosia and Candlewood Lake.

A Mass in his memory will be held at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 17 Granville Avenue, Danbury on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 5 p.m.
