Obituary: Brian Matthew Ramey, 46, Of Danbury

Brian was educated in the Danbury school system and was a long time employee of the Danbury News Times.

DANBURY, CT — Brian Matthew Ramey, 46, beloved son of Barbara (Setaro) Ramey and the late Mitchell T. Ramey and beloved brother of Tara Ramey was quietly take home to Jesus on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023.

Brian was born in Danbury on July 5, 1976 and was educated in the Danbury school system. Brian was a long time employee of the Danbury News Times.

Brian enjoyed travelling to many different destinations but loved spending time in Florida most of all. He found joy in watching movies and anything to do with Harry Potter. He was an avid dart player and delighted in trying new restaurants and recipes as he was a fabulous cook. What meant most to him was spending time with his family and friends.

Brian is survived by his mother, Barbara Ramey; his sister, Tara Ramey, as well as his cherished fiancé, Brenda Kaltenstein. In addition, Brian is survived by his nephews, Austin and Zachary Stone; his aunt, Donna Ramey and his aunt and uncle Carol and Dan Llibre as well as many dear friends and cousins. Brian had a special love for all of his cats, especially Peppi who also survives him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 from 9:15 a.m to 10:15 a.m. at Saint Anthony Maronite Catholic Church; 17 Granville Avenue, Danbury. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:30 AM at Saint Anthony Church. Interment in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury will take place privately.
