Obituary: Charlene Frances (Peck) Yorks, 69, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Charlene Frances (Peck) Yorks, 69, of Danbury, was born June 6, 1953 and passed away November 7, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Fred J. Yorks, Jr.

Charlene enjoyed watching races, spending time with her family and friend, shopping at Shop Rite of Brookfield, and eating at JK’s. She worked at Reeds department Store and DRS, and was a member of the VFW Post 149 Auxiliary.

Charlene is survived by her son, James Yorks of Danbury, brother Gary Peck and his wife Nancy of New Hampshire, 5 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her stepchildren: Fred R. Yorks and Barbara Farrell. Charlene was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Ethel Peck, brothers Kevin and David Peck, and sister Gale Tarala and her stepson, Robert Yorks.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm on Thursday November 10, 2022 at Cornell Memorial Home 247 White Street Danbury with a service at 12:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Bethel.
