Obituary: David R. Vieira, 77, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — David R. Vieira, age 77, of Danbury, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023. David was born to the late Noemia and Maximinio Vieira in Arrifes, Sao Miguel, Portugal.

David immigrated to the United States in 1970. David married his loving wife Maria "Tina" Carreiro in 1971.

David's time was most enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. David will be greatly missed by his entire family.

David is predeceased by his brother Paulo Vieira.

David's love and light will continue to live through his beloved wife, Tina Vieira, daughters Emma (Tomaz) Cardoso, Emily (Roger) Lopes, grandchildren Carina, Catia, Alec and Mariana. David also leaves behind his brother Msgr. Victor Vieira, Jose (Graca) Vieira, sister, Stella (Jaime) Rahm, sister-in-law Leonor Vieira and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for David will be held Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street, Danbury. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 149 Deer Hill Ave, Danbury. Entombment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave Ext, Danbury.
