Deolinda was born in Portugal in 1925 and immigrated to Danbury in 1968.

DANBURY, CT — Deolinda Goncalves Sousa, 93, of Danbury, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at home surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late Pedro M. Sousa.
Deolinda was born in Portugal March 17, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Alfredo J. DaSilva and Maria A. Goncalves. She married Pedro M. Sousa on December 4, 1948. She was the sister of the late Jose DaSilva, Adelina DaSilva and Ana DaSilva. She immigrated to Danbury in 1968.

Deolinda is survived by her one son: Pedro J. Sousa and his wife Esmeralda. His daughters: Laurinda and her husband, Antonio Sousa of Portugal; Ana Maria and her late husband, John Costa; Maria Elsa and her husband, Manuel Silva; Maria Fatima and her husband, Manuel Pereira. Her grandchildren: Paul Silva, Sergio Silva, Michael Silva, Marisa Siharaj, Jessica Santos, Fernando Costa, Daniel Costa, Alison Jerez and Alex Pereira. She has 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Danbury. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury. Friends and family will be received on Friday morning, Sept. 14, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St. Danbury.
