Obituary: Donna Maria DaCunha, 74, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Donna Maria DaCunha passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, at Danbury Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Donna was born August 14, 1948 in Danbury. Donna was a talented devotee of the creative arts; she was an avid reader, quilter, ceramist, and oil painter.

A spirited wife and loving mother of three, Donna’s greatest love was her grandchildren Stephen, Charlie, Taya, Mia, Sophia and Cecelia, who affectionately referred to her as Mima. Her boundless love extended to animals, as well, and she was happiest when surrounded by them. For those who were lucky enough to know Donna, they loved her for her quick-witted humor and unabashed honesty.

In addition to her grandchildren, Donna is survived by her husband Aristides (Steve), and her three loving children: Stephen, Anthony and his wife Christina, and Angela Garofalo and her husband Gary.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, from 4pm to 6pm at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT.
