Obituary: Elisabeth Lengyel, 82, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Elisabeth Lengyel of Danbury, 82, wife of the late Peter Lengyel, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, Mar. 17 after a brief illness. She was born in Hungary on January 9, 1941. She came to the United States with her husband and children in 1964 and built a wonderful life for herself and her family.
Elisabeth worked as an assembler for Siemens for many years. Elisabeth was extremely loved by her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face when she was working in her garden. Elisabeth also loved walking, cooking, and traveling, particularly to the beach with her oldest daughter, Margaret.

She will be sadly missed by her three children, Margaret Lengyel, Victoria Marcus (Adam), and Peter Lengyel (Christine); her grandchildren, Monique Cancel (Kyle), Jack Marcus and Jessica Marcus; and her two great grandchildren, Kalvin and Ella Cancel.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, Mar. 24 between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
