Obituary: Elizabeth Adel "Betty" Zealor, 88, of Danbury

She enjoyed camping, going to the beach, bird watching and being a grandmother to her 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

DANBURY, CT – Mrs. Elizabeth Adel "Betty" (Patterson) Zealor, age 88, of Danbury, died Saturday August 18, 2018 at the Western Rehabilitation Care Center in Danbury. She was the loving wife of the late John Zealor.

Mrs. Zealor was born March 12, 1930 in Danbury, daughter of the late Everett and Lottie (Waterbury) Patterson. She was retired after working for many years as a medical transcriptionist at Danbury Orthopedics and was a member of the King Street United Church of Christ in Danbury. She enjoyed camping, gardening, going to the beach and bird watching but most of all, being a grandmother to her 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Zealor is survived by her children: Ronald Zealor of Danbury, Donald Zealor and his wife Patty of South Kent, and Diane Zealor of Walnut Creek, CA., her brother: Lewis Patterson, her grandchildren: Colleen Cyr and her husband Fred, Zachary Zealor, Rachel Zealor, Brad Zealor and his wife Barb, Daniel Zealor and his wife Coreen, Sarah Zealor, Lucas Davis and his wife Jessica, Travis Davis, Matthew Davis. Michael Davis and his wife Karen and Kyle Davis, her great grandchildren: Joe Cyr, Julia Cyr, Madison Zealor, Jordyn Zealor, Carson Zealor, Daniel Zealor, John Davis and Atom Davis and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son John Zealor.

Funeral services for Mrs. Zealor will be held on Sunday August 26, 2018 at noon at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Betty's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Sunday August 26, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
