DANBURY, CT —Elizabeth "Betty" (Jones) Buccino, age 89, of Southbury, formerly of Danbury, died Wednesday March 2, 2022 in Southbury. She was the widow of Dan Paul Buccino.

She was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, June 9, 1932 the daughter of the late Paul E. Jones, Sr and Emma C. (Washburn) Jones. Betty was a resident of Danbury most of her life and worked many years as a secretary in the Danbury school system. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church in Danbury and was an avid quilter.

Betty is survived by her son: Paul Buccino and his wife Lisa of Newtown, CT; daughter: Patricia Knoll and her husband Stephen of Thomaston, CT; brother: Bill Jones and his wife Pam of Colorado and 3 grandchildren: Adam and Melissa Buccino, and Stephen Knoll. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter: Valerie Buccino and her brother: Paul Jones, Jr.

Services with burial in Wooster Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours. The Hull Funeral Home, Danbury is handling arrangements.
