Obituary: Gene G. LaChance, 81, Of Danbury
Gene worked in construction and built many homes in the area.

DANBURY, CT — Gene G. LaChance, 81, of Danbury, husband of the late Marcelline LaChance, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, Mar. 9. He was born in St. Zacharie, Quebec, Canada on Sept. 4, 1940, son of the late Henri A. and Adrienne (Lacasse) LaChance. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Gene worked in construction and built many homes in the area. He continued his working life as a CNA for Pope John Paul nursing facility.

Gene loved working outside in the garden, tending to his swimming pool and taking his dog on long walks.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Dorothy LaChance and Jennifer LaChance-Bates and her husband, Dan; his brothers, Gilles and his wife, Helyette, and Roger and his wife, Sylvia; his sisters, Nicole, Diane, Pauline and her husband, Regie, and Francine; his sister-in-law, Gisele; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Marcelline, he was predeceased by his son, Kenneth; his brother Renal; his sister, Louisette; and his brother-in-law, Renald.
A funeral service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Saturday, Mar. 19 at 3:30 p.m. Interment in St. Peter Cemetery will take place at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday between the hours of 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
