Obituary: Grace Panetta, 95, Of Danbury

Grace​ worked for the News-Times for many years. She also volunteered for the New Milford Senior Center, where she was the life of the party

DANBURY, CT — Grace Panetta, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Frank J. Panetta, died peacefully at Glen Hill on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023. She was born in Georgetown on July 29, 1928, daughter of the late Pasquale and Sarah (Scrofani) LoPresti.

Grace worked for the News-Times for many years. She also enjoyed painting, gardening, playing the piano and volunteering for the New Milford Senior Center where she was the life of the party.

Grace will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Mona Russo (Frank), Wayne Nelson, Laura Novella (Tony), Philip LoPresti, Jr., and Joanne Barchi (Ken); her sister, Angela Radeschi; and many great nieces and great nephews.

She was predeceased by her nephews, Doug and Lloyd Radeschi.

A funeral service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, Sept. 22 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning between 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
