Obituary: Ireneo H. Despojado, 81, Of Danbury, Engineer
Ireneo worked for 33 years with the City of Danbury in the Engineering Department as senior engineer.

DANBURY, CT — Ireneo H. Despojado, age 81 of Danbury, died Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Milagros (Flores) Despojado.
He was born, May 5, 1940 in Bulacan, Philippines, son of he late Silvino and Fortunata (Hernandez) Despojado. He graduated from the Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines and was a surveyor and professional engineer. He worked for 33 years with the City of Danbury in the Engineering Department as senior engineer. He loved fishing and gardening and was a former Assistant Coach with the PAL.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son: Michael, his wife Wendy and their children: Madison and Mason; son: Neil, his wife Feyren and their son Gabriel; brother: Paul Despojado and sister: Rosita Ual. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers: Paul and Onofre Despojado and sister Angelina Despojado.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Church, Saturday morning at 9:00 Am. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division ST., Danbury, Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Attendees to the funeral home and church will be required to wear face masks.
