Obituary: Jerry Seaman, 83, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Jerry Seaman, 83, of Danbury, passed away unexpectedly after a very short illness on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023.

He was born in Hazleton, PA on July 18, 1940. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Seaman of 62 years; his children, Rob (Mimi) Seaman, Chris Ciufo (Seaman), Shelly Seaman; his grandsons, Sean (Kristen) Seaman, Richie and Robbie Ciufo, Robert and Ryan Seaman; and his great granddaughters, Hailie and Bella Seaman.

Jerry was the owner of Jerry’s Transmissions, 26 Newtown Road, Danbury, of over 40 years along with his son, Rob. Jerry’s passions were old cars, especially his ’55 Chevy Belair, yard work, puttering around in the garage and golfing. Along with his love of cars, he loved making things out of wood.

Jerry graduated from Berwick High School, Berwick, PA in 1958, and then continued his education at Williamsport Tech for transmission repair in Williamsport, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Friday, Sept. 15 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 16 at Saint Peter Cemetery, Section 23, Danbury.
