Obituary: Joseph M. Ross, 96, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Joseph M. Ross, age 96, of Danbury, passed away on Tuesday, Mar. 14, 2023. Joe was born to the late John and Carmella Ross on March 07, 1927. Joe served in the United States Navy, to be honorably discharged in 1946. Joe was a dedicated police officer with the City of Danbury, as well as a member of the Catholic War Veterans and the American Legion. Joe most enjoyed bowling and being around his family and friends. Joe will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 73 years Jean (Torcaso) Ross, and two sons, John Ross (Barbara), and Tom Ross (Margaret). Joe also leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Joe, Christian, and Hannah, as well as two great-grandchildren Amia and Sieanna. Joe also leaves behind two siblings, Robert Ross and Marie Paskura.

Calling hours for Joseph will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Monday, March 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Ave., Danbury. Burial will follow, at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave Ext., Danbury.
