Obituary: Marie T. Navarra, 93, Of Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Marie T. Navarra, 93, wife of the late Vincent Navarra, died on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at her home.

Mrs. Navarra was born in New York, NY, on February 9, 1029, a daughter of the late Michael and Giovannina (Governale) Florio. She attended NY schools.

A resident of Danbury since 1956, coming from Wantagh, NY, a homemaker, she was a member of St. Gregory the Great Parish and a parish volunteer.

Mrs. Navarra is survived by three sons, Bernard (Ann Stanford) Navarra of Ormond Beach, FL, Steven (Dawn) Navarra of Carlisle, OH, and Mark (Melissa) Navarra of Oakville, CT. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Navarra was predeceased by a son, Michael T. Navarra I, and by her siblings, Vivian and Salvatore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Rd., Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

There will be no calling hours.
