DANBURY, CT — Mary (Schirmer) Setaro, 91, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Joseph Setaro, died at Glen Hill Center on Tuesday, Mar. 14. She was born in Mount Vernon, New York on November 5, 1931, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Healey) Schirmer.

In her younger years, Mary worked as a real-estate agent. She devoted the rest of her life to her family.

Mary was an avid golfer and worked on several volunteer projects, including editing a celebrity cookbook ‘Connecticut Cooks, Favorite Recipes From The Nutmeg State’ for the Connecticut division of The American Cancer Society.

She will be sadly missed by her two children, Jeffrey Setaro, and Jennifer Santulli and her husband, Stephen; her grandchildren, Olivia and Andrew Santulli; and her sister, Margaret Murphy.
