Obituary: May Alys Bazely Molinaro, 107, Lifelong Danbury Resident
May lived a full life, cherishing her family and home. She also volunteered at Danbury Hospital for 30 years after her retirement.

DANBURY, CT — May Alys Bazely Molinaro, of Danbury passed away peacefully Sunday, March 10, 2024. At 107 years old, May was a lifelong Danbury resident, among the oldest of its citizens, and attended Danbury schools. She graduated from Danbury High School in 1934.
She lived a full life, cherishing her family and home. May was married to Anthony G. Molinaro Sr. in 1939 for 42 years.

She was employed for many years at Genungs, Howland, and Steinbeck department stores on Main Street in Danbury. May also volunteered at Danbury Hospital for 30 years after her retirement.
May was the daughter of Dora Kurze Bazley and William F. Bazley. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Dorothy and Charlotte; her brother, Howard; and daughter-in-law, Eleanor.
A wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, May is survived by her son, Anthony G. Molinaro Jr.; granddaughters: Jill Amalfitano (Erik), Lisa Bradshaw (Jack); and her great-grandchildren, Brennan, Avery, Arden, Gavin, and Griffin. Her family, home, community, country, and faith were extremely important in her life.

The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Glen Hill, and to her very special friends at St. James Episcopal Church.
Friends will be received from 9am-10am on Friday, March 15, 2024 at St. James Episcopal Church, 25 West St. Danbury, CT. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00am, and burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
