Obituary: Michael A. Casey, 68, Of Danbury

Michael worked for many years as head custodian for the Danbury Public Schools until his recent retirement due to health issues.

DANBURY, CT — Michael A. Casey, 68, of Danbury, husband of the late Linda Casey, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, Mar. 29.

He grew up in Yonkers, NY, the son of the late Frank E. and Virginia K. (Walsh) Casey until at age 12, he moved to Bethel, where he lived with his sister, Patricia Casey Foster and her family.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he was predeceased by his brother, Thomas and sisters Patricia K. Foster and Mary Jane Stone.

He will be missed by his brother Robert and his wife, Kathleen of NJ; nieces, Irene Foster Godfrey of Danbury, and Rena Casey Wilhelm of NY; and nephews, Brian Casey of NY, Sean Casey of NV, Eric Casey of NJ, Mark Casey of VA and Kevin and Scott Stone of CT.

The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, Apr. 10 between the hours of 5:00 -7:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Apr. 11 at Wooster Cemetery, 20 Ellsworth Ave., Danbury.
