Obituary: Michael William Lombardi, 60, Of Danbury
In his younger years, Michael was an athlete for the Special Olympics and played softball, volleyball, and participated in cycling events.

DANBURY, CT — Michael William Lombardi, age 60 of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, following a brief illness.
Michael was born in Bridgeport May 27, 1962, son of the late Anthony Lombardi, Sr. and Sandra (Marshall) Lombardi; grandson of the late Bradley Marshall, Sr. and Yvonne (Belanger) Marshall; and nephew of the late Joanne (Marshall) Nellis. He was a Danbury resident most of his life and graduated from Danbury High School. Michael later worked as a Dietary Aide at Danbury Hospital.

In his younger years, Michael was an athlete for the Special Olympics and played softball, volleyball, and participated in cycling events. He loved Superman, attending comic conventions and baseball, especially the NY Yankees. Michael loved dressing up and felt most comfortable and confident wearing a suit and tie. He had an infectious smile and loved to laugh with his roommates and Ability Beyond staff, who lovingly cared for him in his later years.
Michael is survived by his brother: Anthony Lombardi, Jr. as well as cousins: Wayne Marshall, Yvonne Bradley, David Marshall, Delia Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Melanie Worsencroft Marshall, and Sarah Bradley. He is also survived by his Uncle Brad and Aunt Iris Ruiz Marshall of Puerto Rico.

The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the spring at Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics.
