Obituary: Monica Dumser Frizzell, 81, of Danbury
Monica was a professor of accounting at Western Connecticut State University until her retirement in 2009.

DANBURY, CT — Monica Dumser Frizzell, 81, of Danbury, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, April 3, 2023, surrounded by her three children.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Frizzell, Esq.

Monica was born in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Monica Dumser. She graduated from Danbury High School, the College of New Rochelle (BA) and Western Connecticut State University (MBA).
Tom and Monica were married in Danbury in 1968 and resided in Danbury where they raised a family. She was a professor of accounting at Western Connecticut State University until her retirement in 2009. After retirement, she resided at Piper's Landing in Palm City, Florida, until returning to Danbury in 2022.

Monica is survived by her daughter, Monica Kapp, and her, husband Todd; her son, Thomas, and his wife, Dorothy; and her son, Timothy; her grandchildren: Julie, Michael and Ryan Kapp; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brothers: Robert Dumser and Stephen Dumser.
There will be a memorial service at St. Mary Cemetery in Bethel on a date to be announced.
